The last time we ran the Dreamstealer post, I loved this response from one of our readers:
The term "dreamstealer" is a very effective propaganda tool, since it is simple enough to shut off any rational thought in the unwary listener. Who could be against dreams?
I guess Winston Churchill was a "dreamstealer" when he scotched Adolf Hitler's dream of Nazi control of the world. I guess the police were "dreamstealers" when they caught Ted Bundy and prevented him from fulfilling his dream of murdering more young girls.
The fact is that, for Amway IBOs who are steadily losing money month after month, the derogatory term "dreamstealer" becomes a convenient way to let loose with resentment and rage against anyone who questions or criticizes the entire Amway racket, or MLMs in general. It's the only way for these frustrated IBOs to convince themselves that they were right to sign up in Amway, and that everyone else is stupid or malicious.
As a matter of fact, when Amway freaks say "dreamstealer" what they are unconsciously saying is "truth-teller who is telling me truths that I don't want to hear."
